FAQ and troubleshooting
Answers to common UQ Planner questions and fixes for common problems: invites, the member limit, Git over SSH errors, CLI login, API keys and payments.
General
- What is UQ Planner?
- A project tracker built by UniqTech: projects with Kanban, list and timeline views, epics, tasks, bugs and subtasks, workflows you design yourself, card templates with custom fields, a documentation space per project stored in Git, and a CLI that lets AI coding agents work tasks and attach evidence.
- Is it really free?
- Yes. Organisations of up to 10 people (members plus pending invitations) get every feature for free, with no card and no time limit. Pro is only needed to go beyond 10 people.
- Is UQ Planner a Jira alternative?
- It was built to replace Jira at UniqTech. It has the Jira-style hierarchy (epic, task, bug, subtask), boards on custom workflows and pasted Jira descriptions keep their formatting. It does not have Jira’s app marketplace or an importer yet.
- Is there a mobile app?
- No native app. The web app works in a mobile browser.
- Is the interface available in Vietnamese?
- The interface is in English today. Content is fully Unicode, so tasks and docs can be written in Vietnamese or any language, and page addresses fold Vietnamese accents automatically.
Accounts and teams
- My invitation link says it is invalid or has expired.
- Invitations are valid for 14 days, and sending a new invitation to the same email cancels the older one. Ask an Owner or Admin to resend it from Members, then use the newest email.
- The invitation says it was sent to a different email address.
- An invitation can only be accepted by the account with the email it was sent to. Sign out and sign up or sign in with that address, or ask for an invitation to your current email.
- Why can’t I invite more people?
- Free covers up to 10 people per organisation, and pending invitations count. Revoke invitations that will not be accepted, remove people who left, or upgrade to Pro.
- How do I create a second organisation?
- Today a new organisation is created while signing up. If you need another one for an existing account, email support and we will set it up.
- How do I change my password or my name?
- There is no self-service screen for this yet. Email support from the address on your account and we will help.
- How do I transfer ownership of an organisation?
- The Owner opens Members and sets another member’s role to Owner. The previous Owner becomes an Admin automatically.
- Why can’t a teammate see a project?
- Members only see projects they have been added to. An Owner or Admin can add them from the project’s Members tab.
Boards, workflows and docs
- Some cards suddenly moved to the first column.
- Their status no longer exists in the workflow — usually because a status was renamed or deleted. Move the cards to the right column, or restore the status name in the workflow.
- Can I stop people moving a card straight to Done?
- No. Workflow arrows show how work is meant to flow but are not enforced; any card can be moved to any status.
- Can I change a task from Task to Bug?
- No, a task’s type is fixed when it is created. Create a new one of the right type and link or copy the content.
- I deleted a task by mistake.
- Deleting a task has no confirmation step and also removes its comments and attachments. Email support straight away with the task key and we will see what can be recovered.
- git push says push is disabled for this project.
- Git push is off by default for every docs space. A project or organisation Owner/Admin can turn on Space settings → Allow git push.
- git says Permission denied (publickey).
- Add your public key in Account → SSH keys and test with ssh -T -p 2222 git@<host>. If you have several keys, point Git at the right one in ~/.ssh/config.
- My push was accepted but the next push is rejected.
- After a push Planner may add a follow-up commit that fills in page details. Run git pull, then push again.
CLI, API keys and AI agents
- Where is my API key?
- Account → API key. It is created the first time you open the page and can be shown and copied again later. Regenerate replaces it and the old key stops working at once.
- Can I make an API key with fewer permissions?
- Not yet. Each person has one key and it acts as them, with their permissions. For an agent that should see less, create a separate user with access only to the right projects.
- uqplanner run says there is nothing to do.
- The loop only takes open tasks assigned to you in the linked project. Assign the tasks to yourself, check the repository is linked (uqplanner whoami) and that the tasks are not in a done, Awaiting Review or Closed status.
- Does the AI agent push code or open pull requests?
- No. The /uqplanner-run skill tells the agent to commit locally only and never push or open a pull request. You review and push.
- Which AI tools are supported?
- The run loop drives Claude Code (default) or Yuki. Any other tool can use the same task Markdown through the CLI commands or the HTTP API described at /llms.txt.
Billing
- Why does the Upgrade button say Coming soon?
- Online payments are being switched on. Email hello@uniqtech.dev and we will set up Pro for you now.
- Who can buy Pro?
- Only an Owner or Admin of the organisation.
- Does a VND pass renew automatically?
- No. A payOS pass is a single payment for 30 or 365 days. Buy again to extend; the new days are added to the end of the current pass.
- What is the minimum number of seats?
- Monthly USD billing through Paddle starts at 3 seats. Annual USD and all VND passes start at 1 seat.
- What happens if we have more members than seats?
- Nothing is locked. Owners and Admins see a reminder in settings to add seats.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes, a full refund within 14 days of payment. Email business@uniqtech.dev; see the Refund & Cancellation Policy at /refund.
Still stuck?
Email hello@uniqtech.dev with what you tried and, if it is about a task, its key (for example PRO-13). Pro organisations are answered first. Billing questions: see Contact.
